Week 6: "Aqua Necklace"
Earlier this week we started the wiring of the pump for the watering system or Aquino, it was a success, it turned on, but not for long. It's established that it can work, however, figuring out how to stop the pump from shorting out Aquino was an easy task.
We grew tired of the wait for the tubing to be delivered, so we set off on a voyage to the cafeteria to grab some straws as a substitute. After having MacGyvered the straws to the pump and placing a water bottle on one end and a stack of paper towels on the other, the pump successfully did its job.
I'd say the build is 90% done because all we really need to do is programming the Aquino to where it can water the plant on its own, hopefully 3D print a chassis for the build to make it look like one system unit, and punch a hole for the tubing to be put into the bottle.
OMG!!!!! This is so freaking cool!!! I would love to see your project in action! I think it is so cool that y'all designed and built this tool from the ground up!
ReplyDeleteWow this is some pretty awesome work! It is something that you managed to have some progress. How exciting must it be to almost be done. Question, did you come up with your own protocol or are you following someones? Anyways, good luck!
